Team Impact Chooses Chartered

Chartered status is the gold standard for many professional services providers, from accountants and surveyors to arbitrators and wealth advisors. The chartered stamp on a professional’s title proves their dedication to competence, maintaining a high level of skill, and adherence to a specific code of ethics and acts as a quality assured stamp earned after having undergone intense evaluation by a panel of UK industry leaders in areas of ethics, leadership and strategy.

Of the estimated over 68,000 public relations professionals in employment in the UK, approximately 400 of them have taken the step to obtain Chartered Practitioner status through the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. We are proud to have two of these chartered practitioners within Team Impact, and all team members have reaching Chartered on their professional development plans for coming years.

The first Chartered PR practitioner on the Island of Ireland, Impact Managing Director Julie McCabe obtained her Chartered status in 2012. As one of the first practitioners to embrace the importance of Chartership, Julie has obtained the title of Found. Chart.PR and has inspired many Northern Ireland-based practitioners to follow in her footsteps. “Chartered status represents the highest standard of professional excellence and integrity and it also reflects your breadth of experience and achievements. When the opportunity arose to become chartered through the CIPR, I wanted to do it because I believed that as the PR industry grew and developed that being a chartered practitioner would help to reinforce the credibility of PR professionals and the important and influential role they play in the success of organisations,” said Julie.

Having been welcomed as a Chartered PR practitioner by CIPR in 2017, Account Director Brittany Breslin became one of the UK’s youngest Chartered PR practitioners (Chart.PR) and one of the first 200 practitioners to achieve this status. “As a younger PR professional with lots of industry experience, achieving Chartered was a great confidence booster which also communicated to clients and industry peers that I was serious about my profession and dedicated to ongoing learning and ethical practice.”

We feel strongly that Chartered status not only displays our dedication to our profession, but also offers an additional level of assurance to our clients that we approach our jobs with utmost professionalism, ongoing curiosity and eagerness to keep our skills sharp, and a deep understanding of the strategic function PR plays in the wider business landscape.
