Team members from Parr and partner organisations who together offer a substantial fleet of vehicles are offering a 24-hour helpdesk, hosted by Parr Group, which can be reached at: 0330 102 5730.

A range of services and support is being offered by the Parr Group team and partnering organisations including emergency boiler call-outs and repairs, addressing electrical emergencies, and facilitating food deliveries and collections for those who are experiencing the impact of social distancing and isolation.

“In these unprecedented times, we felt it was important to help our most vulnerable citizens and NHS heroes on the frontline however we can,” said Stephen Parr, Parr Group’s Managing Director. “In times of crisis, we need to show a united front within the local business community to try and offer support to the elderly and vulnerable and also frontline NHS staff who are helping to win the fight against COVID-19.”

To maintain safety, the team will be operating a doorstep policy, ensuring no direct contact between volunteers and members of the community. Parr Group has also offered their units in Northern Ireland for use as food banks if required.

The group has already reached out to local representatives, government officials and councils about the offering and hopes that they will show their support for this community initiative. The team are also appealing to other local businesses who can offer support to contact them to be included in the support team.
