HSL announces expanded audio-visual team as client portfolio continues to grow beyond healthcare sector

HSL healthcare sector expansion

Following the launch of HSL’s East Midlands-based headquarters in early 2023, which reflected an investment of over £1.7m, HSL have confirmed continued growth and expansion of their health tech and audio-visual solutions team to continue to oversee and deliver audio-visual solutions across GB.

In line with this expansion HSL now has regional offices in the East Midlands and the South West, increasing their overall team within GB by approximately 20% and demonstrating the continued success of HSL in England, Scotland and Wales and their ambition to grow their expertise in delivering cutting-edge audio-visual solutions to the healthcare sector and beyond.

Established over 60 years ago as a trusted supplier to healthcare providers on the Island of Ireland, HSL has developed an exceptional reputation through the delivery of innovative healthcare technology, surgical equipment, diagnostic imaging technologies and video conferencing solutions. Their growth strategy continues to focus on the GB market and over recent years they have seen significant expansion beyond the healthcare sector with audio-visual projects spanning across education and academia, judicial, and public services and developing and rolling-out a range of projects as a supplier for brands including Zoom, Teams, Yealink, Cisco, Pexip and Lenovo, among others.

“Due to our continued success since launching into the GB market, HSL has identified the need for advanced audio-visual solutions within the healthcare, public and private sectors and have further developed our portfolio of products and services to further expand our solutions and offerings,” said Steve Leatherland, Regional Director of Operations in GB for HSL. “These diversified markets and the continued drive for hospitals and trusts to move forward with digital hospitals have been catalysts to our continued business growth in this area.”

Commenting on the continued diversification of HSL’s audio-visual offering and the commitment displayed to its growing team, Sales Manager Matthew Sims said, “The team are excited about continuing to grow our strong client relationships and finding innovative solutions for meeting evolving client needs as well as partnering with new clients as our portfolio and market presence expand across GB.”

Highlighting growth outside of the traditional healthcare sector, HSL’s audio-visual team has recently completed a busy summer of installations for Loughborough Schools Foundation, a family of independent schools based in Leicester. Working closely in partnership with HSL, the school has continued the integration of professional audio-visual equipment across the site, including Epson projection, Prowise touchscreens, Extron video and control systems, and JBL and Crown audio systems. HSL has worked closely with Loughborough Schools Foundations’ internal teams to facilitate the standardisation of equipment across all classrooms and halls, creating an environment in which a teacher can enter any room and know exactly how to control any system.

Commenting on the project delivery, Tim Cottam, Programme Manager for GB at HSL commented: "The project management and integration team have once again worked in unison to successfully deliver various projects across the site, all with the increasing complexity of product delivery delays - thanks to a sustained surge in the need for technology integration across all sectors. A big thank you to everyone involved.”
