Dublin aesthetics practitioner invests €700k in skin clinic, offering Ireland’s first PicoSure® Pro Laser

EDIT laser skin clinic Dublin Ireland

People across Ireland who are seeking tattoo removal or rejuvenation of problematic skin will now have a less painful option available to them in the capital city, as Irish aesthetics practitioner Shauna O’Neill launches Edit Laser Skin Clinic. Representing an investment of over 700,000 EUR, Edit Laser Skin Clinic is located at The Cubes Offices, Beacon South Quarter, Dublin 18 and is Ireland’s first clinic to offer tattoo removal and various skin treatments using the PicoSure Pro Laser.

The PicoSure Pro laser is the world’s first picosecond aesthetic laser. Unlike any other tattoo removal and skin laser system, PicoSure Pro doesn’t build up heat and burn the skin. The first and only FDA-cleared 755nm picosecond laser on the market, the PicoSure Pro device uniquely delivers energy in a trillionth of a second, utilising pressure instead of heat to provide safe, effective, and precise treatments for unwanted ink, pigmentation and skin revitalisation for all skin types. Ultimately, as it doesn’t use heat, the PicoSure Pro laser causes less tissue damage and discomfort compared with other removal laser systems and guarantees a more relaxed and appealing procedure for clients.

Speaking about the launch Shauna O’Neill said, “There is a real gap in the market to treat and remove unwanted tattoos and to use laser technology for various skin conditions. I have worked with laser skin technology for over 6 years, and I am thrilled to introduce to Ireland the best laser tattoo removal and skin rejuvenation technology on the market. The PicoSure Pro is the only laser in the world that can successfully remove tattoos of any colour without damaging the skin and I am immensely proud to be the first clinic in Ireland to use this industry-leading laser technology.”

Better known for its less evasive tattoo removal process, the PicoSure Pro laser is also highly effective in administrating skin rejuvenation treatments, most notably melasma or ‘pregnancy mask’ as it is widely known as it occurs often during pregnancy. Melasma occurs because the melanocytes, the cells in the skin that produce pigmentation, produce too much—creating patches of darker skin on the face.  The PicoSure Pro is the world’s first and only laser that is FDA-cleared to treat melasma pigment - an incredible advancement in laser technology.

Shauna, who has a VTCT Cert in Laser and Intense pulse light and a VTCT Cert in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for complimentary therapies to her name, further commented on her secondary offering, “For those with more complex skin conditions, Edit Laser Skin Clinic offers effective treatments from our secondary laser technology – the PicoSure ICON.  A separate machine to the Pro, the ICON also avoids the use of heat and is an excellent choice for treating various problematic skin issues including vascular lesions, broken capillaries, acne scarring, wrinkles, leg vein clearance and stretch marks.”
